@phrydoom What? Stauffenberg had nothing to do with the American carpet bombing of Germany, nor the Russian gang-rapes. He was trying to AVOID these, which were inevitable if Hitler lived given the Allies' committment to "unconditional surrender". The hope was the Allies would relent if the conspiracy worked and an anti-Nazi bunch was in power. Many of the conspirators -e.g., Rommel - were in favor of the conspiracy as the ONLY way to avoid the horrors that would occur if Hitler lived.

@phrydoom by "this freak's decisions" are you referring to Von Stauffenberg? 5,000 co-conspirators were executed yes.. but millions of German civilians died because this assassination WASNT successful unfortunately. But then the nazi-infection probably wouldnt have been expunged from the German conscience had they not been demoralized via the annihalation of the German nation.

In the recreation here Col Stauffenberg seems to be wearing his side arm when he is in the briefing room with Hitler...that wouldnt have happened...no staff officers were allowed to carry weapons (openly anyways) near Hitler

This operation has failed because of Erich Fellgiebel. He should had communicate faster, he cost many lives because his silly acting!!! If he had distribute the message earlier, then it would create so much panic that everybody would had surrender themselfs
