Suspect one of the reasons this country is so messed up is that you can't hear or see Miles Davis on Radio or TV regularly anymore. His incredible tone has healing vibrations which lifts us out of the dead common into a higher consciousness... much like Wes Montgomery, Zen, or the Ragas of India. Thank Youtube for helping to rectify that hunger for sanity which is sorely needed worldwide nowadays.

Yep, I agree, it was a silly comment, but there's no need to get worked up about it.

Steve Allen, Burt Lancaster, Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, Herbie Hancock & smoking -- and all you have to comment on is Steve not hearing what was said?
Stick to Dancing with the Stars. DUH!!

Personnel?
-
When Steve Allen asks the musicians what they are going to play, they tell him clearly and slowly "All Blues" - and he says "Oh, right... Blues of some kind or other." Duh.
-
And resurrect Steve Allen while they're at it.
-
he didn't think verly highly of Johnny Carson according to his book.
-
indeed!!........back then, jazz was held in high esteem and wasn't just pop music with a sax.....
-
This is the version of "All Blues" that YouTube will allowed to be included in Play List.

Hear! hear! Couldn't agree more! A iPhone has become a substitute for culture and creativity for nabobs who think talent comes from reality TV and civility from Ultimate Fight Club. What an incredibly vacuous, shallow, wilfully ignorant society this has become.
