Western Expansion: Utah & Mormonism

An AP US History group project that was created in the 2007-2008 school year.
The purpose was to "sell" the Utah territory to viewers.
We decided to "sell" Utah through a religious approach, for Utah is known for Mormonism and for the fact that the majority of Mormons in the 1840s decided to go there for religious freedom.

For the most part, it has accurate information/general information and dry humor. Satirical.

Since this was a class project, one suggestion: Do your homework. If you are going to do satire, know something about the subject. Parts of it was humerous, it generally showed ignorance of Mormon history and personalities. Making BY sound like an Evangelist preacher with a big crucifix on his shirt was definitely out of character and unfunny.

@cdowis Thank you for your thoughtful input. Our AP history department was one of the weaker departments at our high school, to be honest. The teacher was inexperienced with teaching the material, and we only put out the information that she gave us during class. She was a bit biased, and she joked around when she was teaching this sub. I apologize if it was offensive; we were young and naive. I keep this video up for sentimental value for my friends and me. Out of curiousity, are you mormon?

Please take my comments as positive. There is alot of negative stuff out there. Some may find the depiction of BY as shocking and uninformed, it was clearly intended as good-natured fun.
