Ana Paula Araujo, a Brazilian model who appeared in 2007 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, talks about her life growing up in a small village in the Brazilian rainforest and the importance of conserving the Amazon. The Amazon forests are threatened by deforestion, biofuels, and commercial development, but CI is working to protect these forests in order to mitigate climate change and so that the forests can continue to provide a healthy home for both endangered species and people like Ana.

  • The red-leafed plant on 1:45 or thereabouts is a type of Bromeliad. It's known for collecting rainwater at the top of its crown. Ana herself is gorgeous, and as any self-respecting male would feel, it would be an honour to perform Cunnilingus on this young woman ! Let the downpour begin ! Let my cheeks and my tongue be coated in her viscous sweetness !!

  • @Diogonjaco big business big money neo liberalisms prerogative at the end of the day not even unesco can defend the bio reserves from bulldozers its a nice message and im in the business to help conservation but ur right nothing will stop the machine unless millions of ignorant morons wake up and turn off the tv

  • While I agree saving forest all over the world is an important issue, I have a problem with Conservation International. Unlike Greenpeace and a lot of other conservation groups, CI excepts millions in donations from some of the worlds worst polluters like BP. CI does do some good things. which I commend them for but they also help these large polluters green wash their image.

  • nós devemos explorar este recurso. é nós ou estrangeiros, é uma batalha pura e simples por recursos naturais.

  • How could you destroy a place that creates such beauty? As much as I appreciate her efforts, I won't pay CI to, not cut down the rainforests, stop making animals extinct, or keep you from polluting the air. Earth was here long before man and will be here long after we're all dust. Man is not doing anything to the planet that he's not doing to himself, bu the planet is a lot more resilient than man. Does it need to prove itself yet again? So be it.

  • @Diogonjaco yeh this is what i meant by the perogative of neo liberalism is to stop people realising this and to increase there consumtion because aslong as their consuming they give money to corporations

  • @inheavenswake Well... Turn off tv... eat less meat... Consume less!

Thats the real answer. The first thing to change should be

the consumers. The buyers. But that isn't any good for the producers.. And the sellers...

    (sorry for the bad english)

  • Agree!

They are trying to fool all this dumb people raising this flag of preservation

They are actually just trying to diverge the attention from THEM... that pollute everything and want to blame poor countries... and saying that the poor countries are the ones to blame... Not them with non-stop production and consumption

  • You are insane!

  • Another dumb girl defending the richest countries of the world. Look to Europe, US, the dont have any forest and now, come to my country (Brazil), pointing their fings, which has dirty oil and blood from wars for oil, and tell us what to do with rainforest. Those people dont need only preservation, they need good jobs, good public services and what the richest nation of the world want is misery to them, but the Amazônia intact. THOSE PEOPLE NEED HELP, NOT PRESERVATION!!!!!

  • Red, you sure have good taste ;) and I guess she as well (tastes well.. eh my cheeks blush at your last comment lol) But seriously, this girl is smart, beautiful & has a clear message.. would love to meet her & join her in her campaign.. I love South America; spent some time in the Amazone in Bolivia in 2002.. amazing!!
