Speaking in all honesty, I believe your homemade tool is the best method I have come across on YT to remove the and install the crankshaft pulley . Using your homemade tool and a breaker bar will not cause any potential damage to other parts of the car unlike for e.g. using the starter to break loose the crankshaft pulley bolt. Thanks for sharing your idea.
