Part 2 of 3. In the B-Western tradition of recycling footage for alternate plots and purposes, Cowgirls For Justice is a Saturday Matinee popcorn Western that never was...but should have been.
Movie cowgirls of past decades were not, with few exceptions highlighted here, given much to do. Aside from decorating the frontier, some rode horses and toted a gun. Still, when the gunplay started, the gals were predictably ordered to "take cover", as the cowboys blasted one another to Boot Hill.

Combining classic footage of yesteryear, with some recently produced scenes (courtesy of WantedCowgirls.com), and some obscure international westerns, the cowgirls take charge as they never did before...lot's of hard ridin', and rootin' tootin' shootin' action.

  • You have got some great vintage clips of old time cowgirl stars. The lady in this first part was a good friend of mine. She's Jennifer Holt, daughter of silent screen star Jack Holt and sister to Tim Holt. She made several westerns with Johnny Mack Brown, Tex Ritter, Lash LaRue and Eddie Dean. I also saw a quick shot of Betty Miles (wearing the white bib front shirt with the buttons).

  • @TheFrontrowkid Jennifer Holt (one of my favorite cowgirl stars) actually appears in all three of these, as does the beautiful Betty Miles.

  • what movie is lola gomez at 3:27 from?

    thanks

  • @8302967 Sorry for the long delayed response: La Montana del Diablo.

  • Great video!

Where are those scenes of the blonde gunslinger-for-hire from? I know I've seen them somewhere before...

  • @CraftySouthpaw Full Feedback, a German short film from the early 90's.

  • @wrestleme12368 The Blonde would be myself Colleen Astedt : ) Thank you for being a fan : )

  • Girl on horseback shooting six-gun at 0:51 is Martha Hyer in her RKO contract actress days before she married producer Hal Wallis. Think this clip was from a Tim Holt film.

  • Who was the gorgeous blond @ 1:25. She is smokin' HOT!!
