Jeff Beaulieu working La Zébrée in Val-David, Quebec. This was a long standing project that had been tried by many of Quebec's strongest climber and visiting crack masters such as Peter Croft. Jeff worked the route for 3 years and finally sent it in 2004, the year after this video was shot. He pre-placed his gear for the send.
In 2007, Jean-Pierre "Peewee" Ouellette, Jeff's climbing partner did the second ascent, this time placing his gear on lead. Peewee actually had the first piece pre-placed to avoid a bad fall (which gave plenty of bitching material to the locals). A few months after Sylvain Massé did the third ascent, this time placing even the starting piece.
To my surprise, this is our video that received by far the most hits ever. It was the subject of many forums and was also talked about in Climbing Magazine.
