P-51 Mustang Flight, - SU SU II

I had the honor of hitching a ride with Col. Frank Borman in his P-51 'SU SU II' when he was living in Las Cruces, NM. This is a video of the flight from the rear cockpit. The photography isn't that great but a friend gave me the camera the day of the flight and I didn't have time to get used to it.. I think it came our OK considering.... I know you won't enjoy the video as much as I much enjoyed the ride but I hope you like it.

He used to have a hanger at KLRU, Las Cruce International, and would host a coffee call on Sunday's. All the airport groupies would attend to hanger fly. I also did some PC work for him so I asked for a ride. I also got a ride in his T-6, He doesn't live here anymore. He's up in Montana somewhere.

Col. Frank lives up here near Billings, MT now; he and I have become good friends! He owns Su Su III now, and still is a very active pilot!
