they looked like big hotels, i think its sad that they old got built 40 years ago and theyre getting demolished

Lived in Pannal Court. Sad to see those things come down.

That whole area is completely unrecognisable now.
I lived in St. Mary's and went to St Fergus Primary, and it's nuts how much that area has changed in the last 20 years.

Fascinating video. I felt sad about the demolition of those blocks. Weren't there six blocks? I remember them going up around 1966/7 when I lived in Dundee then while attending the local art college. They looked awesome like they were built to last a thousand years and I can't believe they only lasted around forty. What happened to them that they had to be demolished? I just can't believe they're gone.

According to my data, Ardler Phase 1, approved in 1964 and built by Crudens.....1788 flats between the 6 blocks!

Great B&W shots!
I remember the golf course they were built on.
Lived in St Fillans Road and as a kid was fascinated by these monoliths which seemed to appear out of nowhere and dwarf the skyline.

Your video was brilliant. I live in Glasgow now but was brought up in StMary's. Lived in Carnoustie Court for a while then got my first ever flat in Prestwick Court. My Grandparents lived in St Fillans and have photos of what it was like before the multis. They hated them being built but me, they were part of my life. We grew up in them. Everyone at Lawside and Rocky had people who lived in the multis. When I go home to visit it looks so wierd without them. Thanks again for your video!
