When you watch a movie with Sean Bean, the question is not: Will he die? but rather: When & how is he gonna die? I was so pissed off when his character died after only a few scenes in Equilibrium. Damn, such a waste. But that proves his talent, he leaves an impression even if he doesn't make it to the end.
