Man... that place was put there by the hand of effing God or something. It was the right place at the right time. Memphis was the first birthplace of real rock n roll, CBGB's was the 2nd, and the second time around it was reborn with a fucking vengance against the crap on the radio at the time passing off as rock n roll.

The place may be gone, but as long as there are some kids who play music and hate the corporate overproduced crap, the spirit of CBGB's will live on.
