Tried the cell using distilled, 30% vinegar and a touch of liquid dish soap.

  • hook that shit up to your lawnmower

    (please excuse my language)

  • Even better, my 5000 watt generator.

  • how many LPM does your cell produce?

  • I will report LPM once I have a suitable electrolyte. Just picked up some 100% NaOH. It's not KOH but it was locally available, cheap, and it's a close 2nd.

  • Hello ZFF.

once you reduce the gap between the plates man...HOLD ON TO YOUR HAT!!.LOL. from what I've read spacing is used to reduce/increase amperage draw and arcing of electricity among other things. awesome video

is there any strong Vinegar odor being released with the gas?

    keep it up

  • Since I'm targeting 12v, arcing at smaller spacing is not really a concern. Definitly strong vinegar odors, indicating to me evaporation which is not suitable for long term use.

  • I now believe that without any doubt.

  • {ZFF takes a bow.} Outlet fitting has already been on the side for quite some time. Collection tube inside extends it across the top of the tank to the center. I'm already beginning work on another plate cavity for use in the same electrolyte tank, taller than it is wide, so I can measure the difference in gas production vs. the horizontal layout now. Also starting on a 3" I.D. PVC cluster of electrolyzer cells. ZFF

  • looks good. Beware: an explosion of a cup full of hydroxy can permanently damage your hearing.

  • Yes I can and yes I will, just as soon as I feel there's enough volume to be worth measuring.
