Feel free to respond with you trying to control your PC with Speech Recognition, I hadn't really used it before, so I thought i'd give it a go for you guys. I don't think i'll be using it again.
This was funny. I have the same problem with Dragon Naturally Speaking at times, but its better than Windows 7 Speech Recognition (I THINK). With Dragon, you can say mousegrid and say numbers until the mouse is over the thing you want to click on. By the way, what processor are you using (I5 or I7) and how much ram does your computer have? How much ram does Windows 7 Speech Recognition take to run?
The software knows "you" and "tube", but not the contraction of it. In wordpad you have to teach it recognize new words. That is why you get "You Q". Say "correct uq" to bring up the list of possibilities. Since it will never recognize "youtube" as a word, select "spell it" and spell "y o u t u b e". After that it should recognize "youtube" as a single word.
With the voice recognition software you just need practice.
