Handicapped Parking Scoff Law Causes issues for handicapped

Today on Main St. in Greenville SC a local radio station, B93.7 had their station vehicle parked illegally in a handicapped parking spot during an appearance. A handicapped woman had to park in a loading zone because of the radio station in the spot she needed.

When parking officials arrived they harassed the handicapped woman for parking in the loading zone. Then proceeded to help the station movie their vehicle from the handicapped spot to a new spot across the street, and in the process executed an illegal turn.

Not only did the radio station not get a ticket for the illegal turn in front of 2 parking officials that were onsite, they did not get one for taking the spot that is provided for people who need it.

You need to understand that handicapped parking lots are for the convenience of the handicapped (with proper parking label). It is not for the convenience of the regular guy. The regular guy has no right & no business to be parking there at all. It is a selfish and inconsiderate act & you know it. I hope there will not come a time when you are struck by an illness or tragic accident that leads you to be a handicapped. Then you will comprehend why your "so what!" remark is revolting & uncaring.
