Amazing! I'm getting a TouchSmart IQ500 and I'm making an animated series here on Youtube. Im glad to see animators animate on the new TouchSmarts. It gives me inspiration! 8D You did an awesome job by the way! I'm going to try out flipbook. That looks pretty cool!

Very good. Movement looks very professional. Lots of talent and/or practice.

Heidi, you're incredibly talented. I love how you're using the touchscreen pc. I'm thinking about buying one for my parents and my little sister who loves to draw and I was wondering where one might find the Flipbook program. I googled it but flipbook comes up with many many hits. Also, do you think a cheap plasticy paint brush would damage the screen? Would it be better to get a real painter's paint brush and perhaps rubberband the end to keep it stiff? Thanks and keep drawing!

If one was interested in reading about Heidi's career at Disney and Don Bluth in Hollywood one could always buy her book "Anamatrix" (ISBN 9780595658374).
I think on buying a Wacom ...
But loking at this video, the touchscreen look so interesting...
What would you recomend me to do?
Buy that Wacom bamboo or get more money to buy a notebook with touchscreen?
Hey, nice work man!
Keep on it

@V1S10N - I used a Wacom years ago and I was very pleased with it. I have no criticism whatsoever... it's an excellent product. It replaces the mouse.
Now I am extremely happy with the Touchscreen because it's wonderful to have such a large surface area (the entire "desktop") available to use my finger or a paintbrush.
If your choice depends a lot upon cost, I would start with the Waycom and get used to using it first... then, once it feels natural to you, save up for a Touchscreen.

Seems kind of laggy ... Is the lag in the program or the touchscreen computer , I wonder ? Is it possible to sketch any faster on it ? Or are you purposely working slowly and carefully at this stage to refine the drawings ?
Anyway, fascinating to watch a real animator's work process and your animation is very well done despite the apparent clunkiness of the program . Thank you for posting this. I'll have to find a computer store that has one of these to test it for myself.

It updates faster if you don't use a percentage in your "pencil" settings, and if you do not select the "smart" drawing feature. I like the way the lines turn out better at 50% and "smart" settings, though... more like a real pencil sketch.

Why isn't your name appearing in the credits of more animated features? Hollywood needs your talent.

I wish Hollywood still wanted traditional (hand drawn) animation created in the USA... instead we have ugly, cheap crap like "The Rugrats" with production taking place in So. Korea. Of course, now that So. Korea doesn't seem to be such a safe place anymore, perhaps runaway production will come home....
