Terminator: Rampage DOS game - Design Labs - P2

This is some gameplay footage from Bethesda Softworks' 1993 DOS game, Terminator: Rampage. The video shows footage of action on floors 7-10. I wanted to get to the actual T800s and get some more guns, to show here on Youtube.

The game is basically a Wolfenstein 3D / Doom clone. You fight your way through tons of baddies in an office complex and pick up weapons and keys along the way. You are also looking for parts of a super-gun to combat the end boss. The "office" consists of gigantic maze floors with little ammo or health but lots of enemies.

This was played in DOSBOX. Setting cycles to "max" and core to "dynamic" in dosbox.conf will get the game running as nice as is possible. Unfortunately, the frame rate is never above what you see here regardless of your system CPU power.

Not sure if anyone would agree, but I actually think a Resident Evil-style game based on the future war in The Terminator would be really good... Imagine a T-600 smashing through a wall and constantly chasing you... much like Nemsis in RE3. It has potential to be atmospheric and intense. I don't know about you but I'm getting tired of seeing rubbish Terminator games these days...like those lame terminator movie-games that have no depth.

this game is more impressive than I taught. only the floor texture could be repalced with a sky texture (at night preferably)

The biggest problem with this game was that no matter how good your system was it still ran sluggish. Also I thought it was pretty lame near the end you don't even fight terminators.

@Red23791 - I've had a similiar idea except sorta like a remake of Alien 1 where one player would randomly die at the start of the round and play as the Xenomorph while the rest of the players would just try to survive it.

wow i never had this game back in the day... never even heard of it, but the weapon gfx sure look nicer then wolf3d, doom, ROTT, and all the others
