One of the first jazz bands who records in Paris, around 1922. The Salabert records are very noisy, so I filtered it a lot.
I found this unusual 26,5 cm shellac record in his original sleeve (!) on a flea market in Bruxelles. Hope you'll like this testimony from the early times of Jazz.

  • On June 24, 1947 when the team of TYT3 craft (Alien model name, never mind) were flying near Kenneth Arnold over Washington state, the fourth craft from the front was playing this very recording inside. The pilot, Jhso Inblee, was a big fan of Afro-American Parisian jazz. We miss Jhso. He died at Roswell shortly after.

  • Excellent posting, many thanks.

  • Fantastic piece, thanks so much for sharing this very rare record of an equally rare band! This goes straight to favourites!

  • Very interesting to hear this very early jazz recording. Near the end the horn sounds a bit sci-fi! It's funny that blues is in the title, yet it doesn't seem bluesey at all. Nice presentation! Thanx!

  • Ahh, Such Sweet Music!

It is fun to see it played on an old piece of vinyl. Nice vid! FIVE * * * * * !
