Hard to realise that in some of the places you were standing there were railway lines for when Cravens built some of BRs early DMU's. On the other side of the fence was one of the busiest railways in Britain with Darnall Depot on the opposite side of the track.

It is the mistake too many of us make : not taking photos/moving image of our surroundings for tomorrow's history.

Some of the footage taken from Acres Hill bridge.
My father-in-law worked there as a young lad and again during the 1990s.
I wasn't interested in local history then, so I never bothered taking any photos, even of it being demolished.
Now I AM bothered about our past, but have to rely on others ( like yourself ) for the imagery.
