I spoke with Mike Corbin at the Micro Car Meet in Crystal Lake, Illinois. He was with the serial No. 2 Sparrow and talked with me about it. His business, Corbin Pacific, makes after market motorcycle seats and other accessories. He was inducted into the American Motorcycle Association Hall of Fame in 2000.
In my next video I visit Pioneer Conversions in Lemont and take this Corbin Sparrow for a ride.

  • So much thinkig put into such small car makes it really awsome! Chuck, I vote this one of your best videos ever. Also, it made me so curious about that red MG A in background. Looks great from here

  • @BarbaShime Hi Jurica- I got to drive that orange Sparrow later. My video of the drive isn't very good but I'll try to make something of it and put it up next. As far as the MGA goes I don't know anything about it. Perhaps a viewer will fill in the details.

    Chuck

  • There was a dealership here in Portland Or. called ECO-motion, they sold brand new Corbin's....and Zaps, and Miles EV's ....tough sell unfortunately, they went under, don't know what happened to the cars. Although they do pop up with dead batteries on CL for cheap...too bad. Looks like you filmed this @ the Microcar world meet in Crystal Lake Ill. hosted by Ken W. and small wonders.

  • @2stroketurbo Yep I did.

  • great video

  • @lmogden1 Thanks.

  • Nice little car for one person, I would say that for 2 persons could be a lot better. I got some idea like that.I build a 2 seater vehicle, with a 6.5 hp gas motor, amd was a real challenge to make it street legal. I still have to make some modifications to it, like a differencial and wheels. It runs fast enough to go to stores and supermarkets in the area.It doesn't need to be a big car for going around in this community in here Panama. I built a similar item in California, never was legal

  • I remember these lined up outside a dealership in San Francisco. In great colors as I recall.

  • Innovation is often ahead of its time, and prophet of future applications. Thanks again for sharing

  • Got into those EV's ever since I saw'em on Austin Powers in Goldmember movie

  • Good drive to Lemont - I'm curious.

  • Hello Chuck, thanks for your interesting video greetings from Switzerland Afrikaschmid
