I have one in my biocube 29. I love it, very interesting to watch hunt for copipods,spaghetti worms and other tiny critters among the live rock. Sometimes he is able to snatch up some tiny feather duster fans growing on live rock. The fans grow back in a few weeks, lol.. You can tell if you have a male or female by its dorsal fin. The very first dorsal spine on males is very elongated . Females lack the elongated spine.

@appleyardi very, hard part is to keep live copipods and ampipods in the tank to sustain the gobies. I fully reccomend you to get the TFH book "Culturing live foods" by Mike hellweg to get you to the right direction

To answer everyones questions:
To tell if your tank is ready, take a piece of liverock and stick it freshwater. If large numbers of copepods and amphipods fly out of it, your tank is ready.

Sorry my comment got cut off but continuing. I have so many Copepoda that every part of the glass I look at has some copepoda and I even have a refugium full of them. Do you think I can get a mandarin now or what else should I do before I get one

@nboy55 I only target feed him bloodworms and fish eggs and he ats the mysis and brine that falls to the bottm
