@TechnologyMafia ANd this Onkyo is probably a far better product than the Bose given the price.
-
wow sweet, all receivers should be built like this, i got a sony built-in surround sound Sub.
-
does it sound bad when the volume is high? is the bass good, noticeable and deep?
-
what about the bass?? is it deep?

@morro6715 yes, this home theater system is a bit more powerful than the bose companion system, which is for PCs primarily. A better comparable bose product would be the lifestyle 235 2.1 system, but that is $2000, a stretch above the $250 price tag on the onkyos.

Hey Great review I have a quick question for you... for you owning this for at least a year now how is the sub woofer quality for you honestly... Do you feel as if you feel a real good kick out of it? and do you think you could really test its limits without blowing them out??? thanks for the video

@T3CKProDuctionz for a small room, this system is perfect. I have a pair of powered monitors (m audio bx8s) that will blow this sub out of the water with bass, but i rarely turn the volume up that much. Bluray movies sound amazing with this system, clarity is spot on, and it's still dynamic even though it's (only) a 2.1 system.

Dude WTF! Don't put your speakers next to the PS3 - or the subwoofer at least! Do you not know anything about magnetic fields and vibrations and the damage it does to electronics, especially hard drives like what's in the PS3?
Other than that, sick setup :)

@FeeLtheHertZ haha my ps3 was fine for a year in that spot, but then it broke. I got a PS3 slim and have since put it in another location away from the sub, so it shouldnt be an issue anymore.

would u prefer optical over the hdmi for sound ?
now if i connected the optical from the tv to the sub ....would i still have to change inputs to get sound or would the sound come out of the speakers all the time ?

@CapcomsHero i have my tv connected through optical cable, and PS3 through HDMI. Soundwise, there is little difference. You do have to change inputs between the two.
