@AznJohnyBoy The real reason is that Refs rarely call the "handchecks" used by defenders. The Hammer keeps it even. Defenders get away with using their hands on the offensive player for an advantage.

@TheControledGamer Well, it's too bad they don't like it! Do you like it when they handcheck you? Stand up to them because they must be fouling you or you wouldn't be using this technique, right?

@atapoicos00 Hand checking is a foul here, but so often ignored especially which the defender is impeding the offensive player. We love it. It should not be foul unless the hand elevates passed the hips of the offensive player.

Im not sure about NBA, but in Europe hand-check is NOT a foul. As long as you dont push or constantly harass the opponent you can place one of your hands along the opponent´s hip in order to "control" his next movement by noticing the movement of the hip... No fault at all. Actually... if the opponent hits that controling hand on purpose it will be his foul.
