Have you ever wondered how to get your defender's hands off of you when you're attacking the basket?

http://www.shotscience.com

This week Chase discusses how to properly execute the Hammer, which is a secret weapon you can use to stop your defender from hand-checking you. Taking that away from your defender is like cutting off his life-line and gives you a HUGE advantage!

Just so you know, there are many more ball handling/dribble videos coming and, of course, tons more videos on all things basketball!!

We look forward to all of your comments! Thanks so much for all the support! We'd love to get a video response from one of you!

See you next week!!

  • Nice never thought of doing this.

  • @AndreyPLukashuk It takes care of the hand checkers!

  • @AznJohnyBoy The real reason is that Refs rarely call the "handchecks" used by defenders. The Hammer keeps it even. Defenders get away with using their hands on the offensive player for an advantage.

  • haha there are no black guys in the tape

  • @TheControledGamer Well, it's too bad they don't like it! Do you like it when they handcheck you? Stand up to them because they must be fouling you or you wouldn't be using this technique, right?

  • @ShotScience is there something else i can do becuse if i do that where i play ball people realy dont like it

  • @atapoicos00 You are very welcome. Please feel free to comment anytime.

  • @ShotScience thank you for the explanation

  • @atapoicos00 Hand checking is a foul here, but so often ignored especially which the defender is impeding the offensive player. We love it. It should not be foul unless the hand elevates passed the hips of the offensive player.

  • Im not sure about NBA, but in Europe hand-check is NOT a foul. As long as you dont push or constantly harass the opponent you can place one of your hands along the opponent´s hip in order to "control" his next movement by noticing the movement of the hip... No fault at all. Actually... if the opponent hits that controling hand on purpose it will be his foul.

  • @Vath01Fly Glad to hear it works so well for you!

  • I love this i do this ALOT
