try tribal dance DVD by sera. It should be in the list of videos here on youtube by world dance NY. It is a very good DVD for beginners, advanced, and intermediate. Then come back to this DVD and see where it takes you lol. It should make more sense.

Its definitely an intense video. It can be good for beginners if they do only sections of the video at a time but I also recommend Ariellah's video with yoga and Rachel Brice's videos they are pretty good for beginning stages. Or at least I feel that way. You are definitely going to get a work out of them anyways but Asharah's video is very intense.

what about the video: Bellydance For The Beautiful Freaks? Tempest is the one who did that one right? i liked her demonstration on what she called a paisley movement... i dont mind studying a vid for a while if i have to. if it encompasses a lot of varied material all the better because i want to build a collection of movements to try and experiment with. i'm not sure what i'm capable of yet. the strobing looks super hard.

I haven't gotten to check that one out. But it sounds like its a good one!
