Few people have saved as many lives as Nils Bohlin the Volvo engineer who in 1959 invented the V-type three-point safety belt. A design as obvious as it was intelligent and perfectly suited to the seat occupants body. To this very day fifty years later, the safety belt still provides the most effective protection in the event of an accident.

  • I want a Volvo..I just can't afford one.

  • Volvo's safety is legendary

  • My father-in-law was in a Volvo when he got t-boned by someone running a red light. Family swears being in that car saved his life. There has been a least one Volvo in the family since then. Great legacy of safety.
