It was about 15 - 20 mph that day, but the GoPro HD always seems to make it look calmer. Perhaps it's the wide angle lens.
The board's fairly quick but the sail is pretty average. There was about 2 -3 mph of tide against the wide that day which helps. It ups the apparent wind speed and you sail further off the wind to avoid gaining too much ground upwind.

dose not look like much wind to me but you are going along nice, can you remember what the wind was that day? just trying to work out if it's down to new kit or trick of the eye.
