Trackside HD - NKP 765: North Judson / LaCrosse, IN

The Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society brought Nickel Plate Road 765 to the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum for a series of short excursions. The big Lima-built 2-8-4 , pulling a consist of coaches brought in from the Ohio Central, made three round trips on Saturday, June 20 between North Judson and LaCrosse, Indiana. The train is depicted here in high definition on each of the three runs the train made that day.

When tHE 765 Went over the bridge where was it and how did you access it? i would love to catch it their over the summer but need to know where it is. i will make it a different angle to not copy you.

I'm happy to say I'm just old enough to remember the latter years of steam on the Nickel Plate Road and was able to enjoy the sight of the Berkshires operating daily on the main line through the west side of Cleveland and on through Lakewod and Rocky River on their way to Bellevue, Ohio. What a thrill it was for a 5 year old to watch that living, breathing machine come to life. Now it's like seeing an old friend. Thanks, members of the Fort Wayne Rail Museum, for bringing her back to life.

WOW WOW !!!!!! My favorite place to watch a Steam Engine crossing a bridge slowly and a river flowing underneath it. Cool clip at last I found one in this sort of a location.

Yeah NKP 759 would be next, as they have money from the lawsuit for it's repairs. They should really finish Baldwin 26 and take 3254 out of service and fix it the right way, then get 759 going.

If they are smart, when BM 3713 is done, they take CN3254 and put her on the Stranton Limited runs, and to Moscow. Let BM 3713 go to the Gap, and any points beyond Moscow. That way 3254 gets a much needed rest. She needs it.
