NOBODY was bigger than hogan....

Hogan was champion for FOUR YEARS! No one has even come close since then, nor will they ever, especially with all those stupid triple threat and 4 way matches for the championship.

Fair enough.

You can also know it was dubbed after the fact because the matches you are referencing are from 1983. The song was not written and produced until the "Wrestling Album" came out in late 1985. It would be hard to have a theme song that hasn't been written.

@Doniedaff It's what I expected. The WWE logo over the video shows it is not the original recording. They have edited the song in because they didn't have the rights to the song that he actually used that night, which if memory serves, was Eye of the Tiger. This is the same thing they did with the original Wrestlemania video. When Hogan and Mr T came out it was to Eye of the Tiger, but they changed it to Real American.

You presume wrong. Click on Hulk Hogan V Nick Bockwinkel. There are 2 videos. 1 is 1981 before the song came out, the other is 1983, he's wearing red trunks in the 1983 one. You can clearly here 'Real American' after he 'wins'. (Then the Ref changes his mind.)

@Doniedaff I presume you meant Eye of the Tiger. Real American wasn't written when Hogan was in the AWA and even if it was, it was property of the WWF.
-
He did also use the real american theme tune in the AWA for a brief period.
-
thats an epic song to come out too
-
it's great hearing gorilla again now we got michael cole ugh.
-
@RAV52 Its to bad Terry destroyed everything that was Hulkamania!!

The Hulkster was the most popular wrestler ever and he was the first wrestler to fully embrace the fans and make them feel as if they were responsible for his success. His interaction with his Hulkamaniacs is unrivaled and that is why even today, nearly 30 years later he can walk into any arena in the world and the pop is beyond what any other wrestling personality can dream of...

In my opinion, what Hogan and Andre were to Wrestlemania III, or to the "wrestling side" of "showbiz," in general, Kobe and LeBron are to today's NBA!

@AngelofAnguish Maybe in terms of recognition...but Kobe and LeBron are all about themselves first and foremost. They could not care less about the fans. The vast majority of WWE stars keep the fans first.
