Do you even know what you are talking about? "Hinduism would be the official language", to my knowledge it's not a language but a religion.
Sri Lanka has equal rights, all government documents and procedures are published and conducted in Sinhala,Tamil and English.
Canada has "English" as official language and India has "Hindi". Some tamils out of racial pride do not want to learn Sinhalese but happily learn English, Freach what ever the official language of those Host countries.
