I don't understand why everyone is criticizing us for supporting our team. They are students, just like we are. They found out just like we did, and they are just as shocked and disappointed - more, even. Why shouldn't we cheer for them? They didn't abuse young boys; why should we punish them for the acts of another man? Everyone just needs to chill out.

@carewrowell Part 2...if not then the majority of the people are just watching this as if watching a documentary...Once the movie is over, you will all go back to your lives never thinking about how you will improve the lives of other humans...I'm not sorry to be a Penn Stater because in a february i will be one of the dancers at THON...Last year we raised $7.5 million for pediatric cancer...we (students) actually do care about kids...

I guess I understand why people don't get why we support our team... actually I don't. Penn State got rid of or is in the process of getting rid of everyone involved with the allegations. These people are supporting that decision by coming to this game and cheering for Penn State. These students (yes, football players are students) are as innocent as any student or fan of Penn State.

@carewrowell Part 3) Isn't reputation the reason why this whole thing was covered up anyways?? Obviously everyone would do more if it was their own...we are naturally selfish and all evil deep down...some more than others...you never answered my questions by the way...why is this story on 24/7 reminding these victims of the horrors they've faced?? Why is it so public NOW?? They testified in 2010...Where was our nation's worries then?? How has this situation affected you personally??

@carewrowell Part 2) moral...we have to come to a consensus on whether or not issues like ABORTION are morally correct...And morality should rule over the law...Because MORALITY or a lack thereof is what got JoePa fired...now if evidence comes out that he did indeed have a part in the cover up, then not only did he break the law, but he was immoral...also the kids, parents and students (players included) are the only ones that need healing...funny that you bring reputation into it...

Honestly ask yourself this one question, if your 10 year old son had been raped in the locker room of Penn State by a 60 year old coach(friend of Paterno) and a 28 old staff member saw the attack and did nothing, would your feel the same way about your school and Joe Paterno. I think not, knowing what you know about the power and influence of Joe Paterno? Would you feel the same way about the football? I think not!

@darkchocolate132 How do you think I knew that you were a Penn Stater? This was not a personal attack on you. Only a Penn Stater would not admit your football program and school leadership chose to protect its prestige and power over the rape of children. The sooner that you acknowledge and accept that fact; the sooner everyone will heal. Your blind justification, support, and denial only makes matters worse and continues to damage your school reputation in the eyes of our nation.
