i do think that this snake is called a Krait.... the males have a beautiful light blue color on them, the females are black and white.... very pretty snakes....

@AxCYeR hahaha where do you live in a city? town maybe your safer spending a lifetime on and in the ocean than most places, you've got street sense but ocean sense is easier to pick up!! dealing with ocean animals is a lot better and cruiser than dealing with problem humans, hahahah!

@Erectoralporicy what why? They are so nice to swim with because they twine around you in curiosity. Few people ever get killed by them because they are so docile in comparison to their venom strength.

@jessigrady22 My apologies..this could indeed be a SEA krait, named because of it's similarity to the land snake of the same name.

@jessigrady22 No, sorry. Kraits are land snakes. This is a banded sea snake, it cannot even crawl on land.
