  • Americans don't throw away the roe because it's wasteful. we do it because it is their reproductive organs... but ya. have fun with that.

  • They're massive! Never seen them thet big! That's like the size of three scallops we get here in Perth, Western Australia.

  • I have known the roe, or coral, to be used as the bases of a sauce, great colour. I think it was liquidized into a light fish sauce, possibly a reduction with vermouth, fish stock and cream.

  • Well, my uncle, the person I go scalloping with, has a sucker, where it sucks everything out except the mussel or in other words, the part you eat, so much easier =]
