Cats and a Rod

I was filming the cats one afternoon and noticed a flash on playback. I captured individual frames and here is what I saw. I've done some research and believe them to be rods or whatever tag people put on them. I have included the shortened video clips and still frames from both.

Weirdest thing I saw here was a cat on a leash. If I tried that Id need 50 bandages.

Rods are insects flying by the video camera. The frame rate of the camera determines what the 'rod' looks like.
