No need to brag, but I have seen 5 Al rappies so far, and I have found out 2 things:
1.they always get a critical on you, it seems.
2.they will always drops rare items, including mind materials.

@starfystudios64: Al Rappies (or Pal Rappies in Ultimate Mode) would seem to be the easiest forest enemy to encounter, mainly because of the Fake in Yellow quest, having 47 Rappies a run, each having a 1/512 chance of turning into its rare counterpart.
1) Although the rare Rappies can hit fairly hard, especially on Normal Mode, it doesn't always get a critical on you.
2) They don't always drop rare items. Each item is assigned a certain drop rate, but is not always 100%. Mind Materials are

also often found in later difficulties from a variety of drops (boxes, enemies, etc.) There are no specifics for materials dropping besides some enemies in the lower difficulties, mainly normal.

It can, and it unfortunately makes things rather boring quickly (highest level character I've had offline was a 143, which corrupted years ago), since you're not playing with other people, with the exception of multiplayer mode, but that sucks. So you're stuck doing hundreds of runs endlessly! =D
