I can't believe I'm only learning about The Field Mice now! Completely passed me by in the 80s. I feel I should take to the streets shouting why did no one tell me about this band! Why wasn't I told?? Are they a well kept secret or was I just not paying attention. Every track is a treat :)

@ConfusingClarity You are right. House of Love. I went through an enormous nostalgia and tragic feel for all this, for a recent 4 or 5 years. Now I am numb. Horrid feeling. Dead in the legs. Terrible.

The intro reminds me a bit of "Destroy the Heart" by "The House of Love", but, then, the song takes off in a totally different direction. The part of the song past the 2:00 mark is pure gold.
