Hey, you might want to try a text widget in your sidebar to paste the code. That way you don't have to modify the actual php file

It's not so difficult, but varies according to your own chosen wp theme. Try logging into your wp dashboard and under the 'appearance' tab choose 'widgets'. Drag a 'text' widget into the footer widget and insert the javascript snippet there.
Otherwise try using your 'editor' section from your 'appearance' tab, choose 'footer.php' and insert javascript snippet there.

I liked the idea of a popup webform but the instructions became frustrating when discovering it's not clear on what line to paste the webform code
Thank you for this tutorial! I always have a hard time trying to figure out how to put script on my blog and this helped tremendously!

I actually used the editor file to paste code here in this training, however when I get people asking me directly how to do that, I suggest doing what you said, however usually I advice doing so in the footer widget.
