As the high level segment got underway, sharp divisions emerged between African leaders. Delegates are accusing Ethiopian president Meles Zenawi of doing an underhand deal with developed countries to short change Africa. NTVs Pamela Asigi reports on the latest twist and what it means for the continent.

  • Zenawi is the worst negotater in the history of Negotation. His blind in many areas of politics. Once Jimmy Carter said " i never seen a PM negotating against his own country" . He is not what he says he is. His bad negotation skill has left the country he hates, Ethiopia, land loked. Jimmy carter Witnessed it. Here you go he does it agaian. Sham on you African laders to have a dectater talk for you.

  • actually he is not ELECTED to ANY political office in Ethiopia. He stole an election and walked over many bodies of innocent people continuing to pile them up, just to sit where he is sitting today. The corridors of Copenhagen stink with the sulphuric scent of death and damnation that surrounds him wherever he goes. The correct title for the Meles therefore is quite simply DICTATOR of Ethiopia.

  • While Africans are getting angry at Meles, Environmentalists are pushing this Global Warming lie, trying to convince Africans that industrialization is their enemy. I wish people would see through this nonsense of CO2 emissions hurting the planet. In the past thousands of years, we've had several warming periods and ice ages. The main contributor to global warming is - wait for it - THE SUN! Tell environmentalists to stop protesting Africa's big infrastructure projects. Get angry at them!

  • PM Meles Zenawi is the smartest leader Ethiopia/ Africa has ever produced. He is a well polished & sophisticated world class NEGOTIATOR !

Time & again, he has proved to the whole world his genius, prudence & farsightedness. He is fast thinking & the most PRAGMATIC leader. what he has done is definitely in the best interest of our beloved continent Africa!

    700sh or 00sh?

This statesman is simply a one in a million kind of LEADER:

    Proud of him !

    2nd

If you're still concerned for the sake of the arguement you should know that Meles is dictator that commits an ethnic genocide in my country, but u don't know that ... do you? Did you even understand the subject matter of of this video?

Talk about "commenting nonsense things" eh, ironic isn't it. Lmao

  • @gurmad11 Melese Zenawi is the smartest leader in African. and he strong leader and working day and night for growth of his country. look what south Africans, Ugandans say about him. before commenting nonsense things

  • MY African brothers & sisters don't you know Meles Zenawi is committing genocide against his people by killing, raping and starving the people of Ogaden region in Ethiopia?

What makes you think he cares for climate change in Africa? ... All he cares is the few lousy millions for aid coming to his pocket from his masters (US & UK)

and him staying in power by okeying their agenda regardles of the best interest for Ethiopia & the whole African continent.

And you elected him to represent Africa?

  • they do need money but we don,t need this kind of person to get it for us and we have alot of natural resource in Africa ok if the other country stay out of our country

  • he is crimal he can,t lead he his own country ok let alone lead the 53 state that he is leading on the climate change anywayz if Allah say it is gonna happen who is gonna stop it no one this list part of the comment is about climate change ok

  • the money is not even enough for our coffins my friend. What will money do for us if we are all dead?Anything over 1.5 degrees is a death sentence for Africa. Anything less than a percentage of GDP from each polluter is not compensation enough. Africa must get its rightful share of the 2 trillion dollar a year carbons trade industry. The Cop15 Conference was a continuation of the Berlin Conference. Africa will not be colonized again. We Africans will not sell Africa for beads & blankets.
