  • Some say that the circular ridges in the Hario V60 helps the air to flow in and keeps the water flowing and not blocking it.

  • @klarinetta yes, you could form an air lock without some gap. nearly all filter holder cones have ridges. the chemex, which doesn't, has a channel for air, and pouring. but the swirlee design on the hario v 60? any function, or just aesthetic? i say the later...

  • @sweetmarias I just saw a barista from the Icelandic coffee team state this in a recent video. Unfortunately the video is in Icelandc. I have only experience with cheap 3 hole plastic dripper and the Chemex.
