  • @BoredomCorner I've gone through the "pat down" in an airport just recently. It was a non-event. I was not traumatized nor did I lose my freedom. There are many things we are make to do that we really don't like (pay taxes to governments that we did not vote for, buy house insurance so we can get a mortgage even though we know they will fight tooth and nail to avoid a pay out) but life is full of that. I am trying to point out that perhpas we need to sweat the big stuff.

  • @mothman64 The scanner produces less radiation then a 2second call on your cell phone. It uses RADIOWAVES. Same thing that comes out of your speakers when you turn on your car. Get your learn on before you start regurgitating what you've heard from other people. I'd rather get some Health Canada approved radio waves bounce off me then end up on a plane with a guy that has explosives in his underwear. Just saying :)

  • Pockets are usually where Canadians store bombs to take down commercial aircraft. It's just common sense.

  • harper is worthless shit who wants to throw us all in jail

    new world order puppet

  • @TensaZ Exactly, Why do Big politicans and CEO's always fly private and charter? These so called servants behave like aristocratic elite. THey make decisions most of us are against and tell us it's for our own good. We the people hold the power, if we embrace it. Instead we let people we "elect" make decisions for THEIR own good. Rick's is way off on this one. Terrorist's arent everywhere, so why is there over a million people on the watchlist? You know 90% of planes can be remote controlled?

  • @jkzl1008 Go to the USA and try to fly, they pat you down, feel up your genitals, they do the same to children, and wife, It's disgusting. And absolutely no needed. If pat downs worked, the underwear bomber never would made it on the plane. Funny that the FB scanners came out "in response" to that incident, even though Chertof ordered them before hand. WOW where is he now? working for the company that created them. Not to mention the massive radiation these machines leak. Enjoy the police state!

  • Rick is "friends" with ezra levant? Need I say more?

  • I don't agree with Rick on this one. As a guy, I can't care less if you take semi-naked pictures of me. But I do care if you take those pictures of my gf or (future) kids. This is a basic privacy issue, full body scanners have no place in our society. If we tolerate the scanners, be prepared to accept more privacy-invasive policies in the future. It is time for us to tell the government we are not sheep and we will fight back when our rights are violated.

  • @jkzl1008 well it more like a rub down... I've had my fair share.

  • @Sept11Discovery Yet there was a mad bomber in new york who would blow up public places and America didn't freak out. The reason why airport security has been enhanced is because Bush wanted the people to be scared, and he wanted to make the country look like they are trying to protect themselves. The world is much more paranoid then when it was in the 50's. It is like saying because some theatres are bombed, to we put security in theatres? Thousands died in 9/11, and pissed off many.

  • I used to like Rick before this rant...I guess Rick believes in the American Patriot act and has Terrorist under his bed just waiting to attack .....lol.
