@iansane138 you're ignorant. Vampire Weekend's music is unique, sure, but it's intelligent and well written music. How the hell do you know if the lyrics are nonsensical. Lyrics are typically metaphoric, and the metaphors are created by the lyricist. He knows what he's talking about. You're just a hater. I generally despise indy music too, but this band does it right.

@iansane138 I cant agree with you man. to you these lyrics might mean shit but to the lyricist, NOT THE BAND, they represent a pivotal point in their life. there are thousands of bands out there and they all write meaningful lyrics, to not "understand" them(for lack of a better word) is your flaw

@JEAG I assure you as well, I keep my mind open to different genres, and even so, branching categories as well. I'm not really a die hard fan boy or stick to three main bands that everyone and anybody knows, please don't peg me as such.

I try my best to focus on music and lyrics, not just something that is catchy or popular. And that's my pull toward music, good sound, and strong meaningful lyrics. However to me, this song has neither. I do not mean for my criticism to be on the band themselves, meaning the four members, but, the music itself is played out. The indie strange sound that everyone is trying to achieve nowadays, it is repetitive and annoying to listen to, but that is in my opinion of course.
