Marcel Marceau the Greatest Known Mime, France's Greatest Treasure died 9-22-09. Once again "The Laughing Tiana" and Ryan Owens make light of a tragedy. "Laughing Tiana's" comment "I don't know many people who enjoy Mimes" had Whoopi Glodberg of the "View" criticizing the two news anchors for the manner in which they reported the death. Goldberg spoke out on Taina Hernandez and Ryan Owens presentation of Marceau's death as "disrespectful" and "poorly handled by the two anchors". "If you are a news person and you don't understand the person you are talking about, don't make fun of them." Goldberg said Marceau was "the greatest mime of his time" and a "huge influence" on how she performs. Why is Ryan Ownes still with ABC? "The Laughing Tiana" left the network.

Wow, really condescending. It's so easy to make fun of something you don't understand. What these ignorant commentators don't know is Marcel Marceau was actually a war hero. After his father was sent to a concentration camp, he joined the French resistance and saved many children from the same fate. He also was a liaison officer with General Patton's army because he spoke fluent english. What do you have to say about the man now?
