Is this settled, now? Or are people still stupid?
"The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this." ~Letter to philosopher Eric Gutkind, January 3, 1954
"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." ~Albert Einstein, letter to an atheist (1954), quoted in Albert Einstein: The Human Side, edited by Helen Dukas & Banesh Hoffman
"During the youthful period of mankind's spiritual evolution, human fantasy created gods in man's own image who, by the operations of their will were supposed to determine, or at any rate influence, the phenomenal world." ~Albert Einstein, quoted in: 2000 Years of Disbelief, James Haught
"I received your letter of June 10th. I have never talked to a Jesuit priest in my life and I am astonished by the audacity to tell such lies about me. From the viewpoint of a Jesuit priest I am, of course, and have always been an atheist." ~Albert Einstein, letter to Guy H. Raner Jr, July 2, 1945, responding to a rumor that a Jesuit priest had caused Einstein to convert from atheism; quoted by Michael R. Gilmore in Skeptic, Vol. 5, No. 2
"The bigotry of the nonbeliever is for me nearly as funny as the bigotry of the believer." ~Albert Einstein, quoted in: Einstein's God - Albert Einstein's Quest as a Scientist and as a Jew to Replace a Forsaken God (1997)
"I have repeatedly said that in my opinion the idea of a personal God is a childlike one. You may call me an agnostic, but I do not share the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth. I prefer an attitude of humility corresponding to the weakness of our intellectual understanding of nature and of our own being." ~Albert Einstein, letter to Guy H. Raner Jr., Sept. 28, 1949, quoted by Michael R. Gilmore in Skeptic, Vol. 5, No. 2
"In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views." ~The Expanded Quotable Einstein, Princeton University, page 214
"I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fates and actions of human beings." ~Response to Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein who asked Einstein if he believed in God.
"I'm not an atheist, and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist." ~Einstein and Religion by Max Jammer, Princeton University Press
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinoza
"Spinoza believed God exists only philosophically and that God was abstract and impersonal. He contended that everything that exists in Nature (i.e., everything in the Universe) is one Reality (substance) and there is only one set of rules governing the whole of the reality which surrounds us and of which we are part. Spinoza viewed God and Nature as two names for the same reality, namely the single substance (meaning "that which stands beneath" rather than "matter") that is the basis of the universe and of which all lesser "entities" are actually modes or modifications, that all things are determined by Nature to exist and cause effects, and that the complex chain of cause and effect is only understood in part."

1] Atheism...moreby GloomBoomDoom408 views

I've got to say this back and forth of Hitler was a Catholic, Darwin was a Christian, Newton was Christian, Stalin was an Atheist etc. I'm quite confident that the vast majority stems from Theists attempts of character assassinating Atheism. You've gotta respond to that shit. Dawkins does usually qualify that statement with "or at the very least a deist" - Spinozas God? hmm... not really God is it! =/
I don't get how this video has has got more dislikes than likes as your point is a good one.

Explain this quote
"Jimmrrage is a uneducated child and what he spews about me is ignorance and his own stupidity for I never said any of the horse shit that him or the Jesuit Preist made up stating I did spew. That is why I created a letter to bluntly state that I was a atheist since the brain dead could not understand when I spoke of the word "god" I actually met "Mother Nature" and I explained that multiple times but morons can't get it" ,Albert Einstein letter to jimmyRRpage

@sykeo123 That last, BTW, is the second half to the full quote of him not being an atheist. It has nothing at all to do with the Jesuit Priest. It was from an interview he gave.
Also:
"In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views."
Explain that one.

@sykeo123
"We see a universe marvelously arranged and obeying certain laws, but only dimly understand these laws. Our limited minds cannot grasp the mysterious force that moves the constellations. I am fascinated by Spinoza's pantheism, but admire even more his contributions to modern thought because he is the first philosopher to deal with the soul and the body as one, not two separate things."
-From an interview, quoted in 'Glimpses of the Great' by G. S. Viereck (Macauley, New York, 1930)

@sykeo123 And it was not from the Jesuit Priest. I don't think what the Jesuit Priest actually said about Einstein was ever even recorded.

"I’m not an atheist and I don’t think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn’t know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God."
Full quote.

the quote you are trying to quote is from the Jesuit Priest who lied and misquoted him.

@sykeo123 What blows my mind is how when he bluntly states "I'm not an atheist..." you can sit there and say he was...
