Hello everyone! Taylor and I decided to do another video together cause we enjoyed working on the Morrowind/Skyrim vid together, and we settled on this piece pretty quickly! I am using some basic sheet music as a foundation for this arrangement (and of course adding stuff to it), Taylor's part is by ear! Hope you enjoy it :)

Here is a link to Taylor's channel, I would highly recommend that you check out her video game covers, as well as a range of other stuff! She is very talented! http://www.youtube.com/user/ViolinTay

  • @JoTheVeteran I'm not offended. I guess there are limitations we can do nothing about, eg. I do not have access to a full orchestra and chorus :) I didn't mean for everyone to argue over it!

  • @lara6683 Even though you don't HAVE to, please don't stop. ^^

  • @AbsoluteZ3R0 I have heard all the Reunion Tracks, I own the album, they are true masterpieces. Why did you assume I had not?

I still prefer the very first PS1 execution of OWA over the reunion tracks, this video and off course the advent children very very bad remix.

  • @JoTheVeteran If you have not heard the orchestral version from the Reunion Tracks (which at this point I'm beginning to assume you haven't) I STRONGLY recommend it. It is immensely more powerful than the original and imo the best rendition of OWA that exists: /watch?v=kbWSEfokCTQ

  • @JoTheVeteran I have read all of your replies. Yes, it was technically scored for an orchestra, but not actually performed by one. The sounds are DEFINITELY midi. The Playstation was capable of CD quality sound and I can assure you that no recorded orchestra sounds anything like the version of OWA actually heard in the game. Those are midi instruments. On the other hand, the version on the FFVII Reunion tracks is truly orchestrated (although not by Uematsu) and performed by a real orchestra

  • @AbsoluteZ3R0 Dude... the one winged angel score..... IS ORCHESTRATED! It the only music CD track located in the fourth disk of the FF7 game. It is NOT a midi!

You talked to me first, so at least just read my full reply.

  • @JoTheVeteran If by "best electronically synthesized" you simply mean that Nobuo Uematsu made great use horrible midi to create a powerful piece of music, yes I agree. But the instruments still don't sound orchestral. Oddly, the first version of OWA I ever heard was the orchestral version (not the AC one), so when I went from that to the in-game version I wasn't too pleased. Even in the 3-year time span between FF7 and Chrono Cross midi sound quality improved substantially, and I think the

  • Have you and Taylor thought about maybe trying the Dead Island theme tune? I know the game sucked, but the theme was fantastic!

  • Amazing! =)
