The pick was not duplicated because he did not throw it on the ground. This works, I use it. Great demonstration vid, but I suggest you make it clearer that you CLOSE MINECRAFT by going through the inventory screen.

if you put water leading to the portal then put anything in a crafting bench it will lead you to the portal and you will get an infinite block :D

you just stoped put another one there bechause your pick would be duplicated too and chause it no works your pick should be removed
