Great Tower Records 45 produced by Mike Curb, who first did this song with an earlier group, The Starlets, in 1965 on Tower 115. This version by Josephine Sunday (Sunday Heppner) comes from later 1965 on Tower 184. On this recording she is backed by Davie Allan And The Arrows who provide the rhythm track and background vocals. Enjoy!

  • People are asking, "Where did you find this taping of American Bandstand?"

  • @SundayHeppner I got it from a friend of mine, it's apparently been circulating in the underground for years. I wish I had the complete video with you talking to DC, however at least there is audio of that circulating on youtube as well.

  • looks like she could be one of the Ronettes

  • Right, she definitely has that look to her..

  • What a swweet treasure, thanks for sharing.

  • @yecrem65 So glad to have you on my page....you have no idea how much I LOVE this record (and I'm only 25 years old). Copies of your records are hard to find, this is the only 45 of yours I own!

  • @yecrem65 Forgot to mention that I'm Josephine Sunday, the girl singing, "You

    Won't Even Know Her Name".

  • @drrgperrin Thanks for your comment! I'm now an elementary school teacher and I also mentor/coach teachers and homeschooling parents. In the near future, I will be posting a song I've written for teachers on You Tube. You can go to my website sbcrevitalized to learn more about me and see a picture of me with M. Jagger of the Rolling Stones.

  • This is really, really good. I can't guess why it wasn't a big hit during the year of its release--except, no doubt, because of insufficient promotion (air play, appearances, etc.).

  • I didn't hate it

  • YES!!!! Never thought I'd see her singing this. Thanks for this!

  • Davie and the Arrows? They were great, but that incredible drumming...can't track down the info, but is Hal Blaine on this session, anyone?
