@ViolinistHPopov As I said before, I find this trait annoying. But Oistrakh is a great violinist--truly great. That is the ONLY reason I would be annoyed--because everything else is so special. Please don't take my comment as meaning I do not admire him. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Oistrakh adds a"stinger" to the last note of the piece--an annoying habit that he is often guilty of.
Rather than let the note decay as it would in nature--or on a piano or a drum--he kicks the end of the note with an accent.
This may seem a small and petty point to make for such an accomplished artist, but it is the basis of good music making.

@maxreger100 Well, he plays violin, not drum or piano! He is a singer! I think, his phrasing is excellent.
