@lalalives I wouldn't get offended. We didn't know him, personally. I've listened to Lennon's records, watched footage of him...he had people in his inner circle who are more qualified to talk about him, all we can do is speculate what he was like. Good that Ringo sticks up for him here, and I get that with this new Harrison film (directed by Scorcese), when George is asked about Lennon's death in the late 80's, "he was no angel was he?" and George goes:"He wasn't, but he was, aswell"

John really was an awesome man. I get really offended by all these people, a lot of them young and hardly know much about John, just saying awful things about him as a person based on mistakes he made. He was only 40 when he died, yet he did beautiful things for the world of music and art, and his messages were very simple yet powerful. He was extraordinarily bold and willing to do things no one at the time, with his status, would dream of. John will forever be my favorite Beatle/musician ever.
