This is what you'd see if you clicked on the URL in the current 'Storm Worm' run that is using Cat e-card e-mails to get you to visit their site and infect your PC so that it will become part of the 'Storm Worm' botnet.

You can hear the malware authors laughing at yet another person who has fallen for their social engineering. Yes, they are laughing all the way to the bank.

Don't let the last laugh be on you. Protect your computer.

  • If your PC is not fully patched then just visiting the site can be enough to infect your computer [known as a 'Drive-By-Infection']. However, most anti-virus software now detects this variant so if you have up-to-date anti-virus software and are also fully patched you should be protected.

I still wouldn't suggest going to the site unless you are a security professional who knows how to handle malcode.

  • If i do a search and go on the actual site, will my PC be part of the storm bot net?
