One of the funniest opera characters ever written. La Massis as I use to call her is at least for me one of the most incredible coloratura sopranos I've ever heard and sadly one of the must underrated opera singers of our generation. I just love this woman. Her voice has no limits and she's such a terrific actress as well. As she usually does, she stole the show that night. Brava!!!

Amazing how Annick keeps up with this cruel tessitura!!!! Her voice NEVER gets sour, or shrieky. It's always perfectly placed, and expressive. It's a real cool voice lesson to watch her breathe and then negotiate the diction on the high phrases...she keeps that air flowing, and just flaps her jaw with the consonants so as to not deprive us of her beautiful vowels. Awesome!!! Thanks for posting!!!

Parlando in termini strettamente vocali la Cuberli la surclassa in tutto ma per contro la Masiss è una grande artista ed in scena è veramente un fatto, è la classica artista i cui meriti nel loro insieme superano di gran lunga l'esame delle singole parti

@harpguy18 Some singers find it easier to tune extremely high notes if they just listen to the note sounding inside their head. Thus, they plug their ear. Some pop singers do the same thing when in whistle register.
