Raw Art Exhibition... WARNING! Not For The Weak

ARTIST STATEMENT:

As a fine artist my objective is to communicate (through visual abstractions and gestural expression of taughtly defined forms in high relief, vivid palette and composition) the rancid subject matter that has been the sum of my life experiences.

The use of synthesis of gesture, color and form are but single facets in a multi faceted conceptual presentation used to lead the viewer to explore the sub-context of the works.

It is my duty (as the artist) to honestly and openly confront and communicate the truth & depth of my experience and vision...

It is the observer's burden, therefore, to accept the responsibility to use the power of reason by which (he) attains an intellectual grasp of the inner significance, truth and force of the works.

ARTIST RESUME:

Awards, exhibits museum installations, collections and critical acclaim are not acceptable barometers to be used when contemplating the virtue of my (or any artists) works.

The exhibition (and contemplation) of any work of art is a deeply emotional and personal communication between the beholder and the artist. That should not be played upon by outside influences that could color the beholder's reaction to the force of the works.

I therefore never disclose these extraneous influences.

In this way, the beholder must bring to bare his honesty, intellect and the resolution of (his) own convictions that the work touches (him) on a deeply personal basis and therefore, further anlightens by virtue of the process.

As a fine artist, my works hold a deep and profound significance to me and I will not have my artistic body diluted by such unimportant influences. To do so would lessen the honesty, tribute and impact of my vision.

I like the pig one "pearls before swine", it is my fav. The 2nd one mother with slit wrists, is pink because she is still alive, the 6th one where she succeds is dark, void, and lifeless because she is dead. i really like those two as well!
