  • When I was about two yrs old, my parents lived in an apartment next to a small trailer court in which Lester & Earl lived in while they performed on WCYB radio's Farm N Fun program in Bristol TN. My dad worked on their old car at my Grandpa's gas station across the street. My mom says Lester flirted with her, she was very pretty.

  • without flatt &scruggs there wouldn't have been elvis, the beatles, black sabbath, pink floyd, etc., etc.

    The roots of metal!

  • Notice that Lester Flatt is one of the few bluegrass guitarists that uses a thumb pick.

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa thats a real knee slapper

  • I can't stop listening to this! Such a good mood song haha

  • @simonne234 your 100% right......thats what b;luegrass is..........

  • @muzikkraz without flat @scruggs there wouldn't be any bluegrass period...they're bluegrass all the way

  • Roll In My Sweet Baby's Arms

NOW THERE'S A DAMN SEXUALLY EX-PLICK-TACATED TITLE IF I EVER DID HEARD ONE.

    :^)

    SANG IT LESTER!

  • @PhatBrady1017 Is Paul Flatt still around? In the 1970s he was a high ranking minister with the Worldwide Church of God....he looked exactly like Lester, and had a terrific singing voice!

  • My grandfather, who was a member of a group called The Tennessee Gentlemen, and Lester Flatt are cousins. They knew each other growing up and if I'm not mistaken they played together a few times at some festivals. Even though I don't have much musical talent, it makes me very proud to have kin like them.

  • Man, this is Real Americana! Love Bluegrass.

  • @muzikkraz i would disagree with that..If there was no blues that would be a different story
